Oshawa is located on the Lake Ontario shoreline, approximately 60 km east of downtown Toronto. It is not part of the Toronto CMA, but has its own metropolitan area, the fourteenth largest in Canada. It is also the largest community in the Regional Municipality of Durham. Oshawa may be a large city, (as well as one of the fastest growing cities in Canada), but it is still full of lovely neighbourhoods, and friendly locals who greet visitors with friendly smiles.
